Acco hostel - Hostel Manager
The hostel had just opened 2 months before I started to work there. Almost everything needed to be started from scratch.
Some of my responsibilities:
Hostel administration:
- bookings processing/customers allocation
- communication with customers/customer service
- coordination of housekeeping and maintenance staff
- interviewing and training new employees
- establishing contacts and subsequent communication and cooperation with services (billing system, booking system and others) and hostel facilities suppliers (domestic and international)
- hostel facilities procurement
- solving administrative problems and conflicts
Marketing:
- gathering and analyzing domain information, information about competitors, customers feedback and improving hostel services
- creating small press releases
IT Development:
- looking for IT solutions to improve hostel business processes
- establishing contacts and subsequent communication and cooperation with IT-solutions providers
- gathering and analyzing web-site requirements, creating requirements document
- communication and cooperation with programmers
