Profile Activity
After spending over twenty years in administrational work, and having gained invaluable experience in several different sectors, I returned to full time education in 2009 to study for a degree in I.T. and Creative Multimedia.
I am now (Oct. '10) in my second year of the Creative Multimedia course at Tipperary Institute. I enjoy audio, video, photography, writing and Social Media and hope, at the end of my degree course, to work in one of these areas.

Owens McCarthy Claims Specialists - Administrator/Dictaphone Typist
This is a part-time position that I have taken while in college. It involves mainly typing but also filing and processing of claims using an in-house loss assessment recording system.
Software used: LARS, Microsoft Office
Budget Travelbound - Travel Advisor
Customer Service role that involved booking flights (both long and short haul), package holidays, weekend breaks and tours and travel insurance. Also handling/processing of payments and accounts reconciliation.
Software used: Galileo System and Budget Travel in-house booking system.
LHS Services Ltd. - Administrator
Co-ordination of Health & Safety Inspections for state service providers, pharmaceutical companies and others. Logging and co-ordination of repairs. Responsibility for issue of test certificates and notification for renewal of same. Data entry (PEMAC)

Keelings Distribution - Administrator - Logistics
Planning and preparation of trailers for delivery to Tesco on a national basis. This position was in the frozen food section of Keelings based in Naas which was subsequently transferred to their depot in St. Margarets.
Fitzpatricks Garages - Administrator/Shop & Forecourt Manageress
Accounts, Human Resources (including training and rosters), Stock Ordering and Pricing in both Kildare and Naas branches.
Jerry O'Sullivan Stock Control - Stock Controller
This involved travelling throughout Leinster and Munster to clients in the hotel/pub industry, liaising with these clients, and providing information on stock profit/loss and solutions for effective control. A large amount of data entry was involved.
Software used: In-house Stock Control package.
