Hotel Receptionist
The reservations system used within the hotel is Fidelio. The main duties involved are; completing the night audit, making reservations, checking guests in and out of the hotel, completing cash and credit transactions, operating micros, reconciling the transactions for reception, restaurant, bar and carvery on a daily basis and assisting the banqueting team with any tasks, as and when required.
Web Reservations International - College Intern/Customer Support Executive
• I completed 3 months internship within this company from February to April 2007, and I was asked to remain and work for the summer of 2007 also. I was based within the hotels division. I was shown many different systems and admin sites, how to access, use and input information. Some of the tasks I was doing were contacting hotels and persuading them to work with the company, updating facilities and content of hotels on websites. During my time there I was also in charge of customer support and hotel support emails. I was responsible for keeping good relations between both customers and hotels by replying to both hotels and customer queries and problems.
