Pluto LNG Project, Site Wide Instrumentation (Burrup Peninsula, Australia)
• Site acceptance tests (SAT’s) and HART instrument configuration.
• Cable continuity testing and Instrument loop checking.
• Instrument calibrations include:
RTD’s, thermocouples, pressure transmitters, level transmitters, ultra sonic flow meters, magnetic flow meters, mass flow meters, control valves, vibration sensors and load cells.
• Systems include Nouvo Pignone gas turbine generators, MR and PR compressors, fuel gas, meg regeneration, fractionation, LNG storage tanks, effluent treatment plant, ESD and PSD systems.
• Fire & Gas panel modifications
• Commissioning and cause & effect on Vesda fire & gas system in substations, FAR’s and CCR.
• Screen operator on Honeywell PCS, Tricon, and GE Mark VI.
• Field auxiliary room (FAR) controller and authorised ELV isolator.
• Preparation of electrical isolation certificates, isolation and de- isolation of ELV loops. Logging of isolations on spreadsheets, weekly FAR reports and signing in knives as contractor representative.
• Completion of ITR’s, punch lists, mark up of loop drawings and RATS

2002 - 2006

Employed as an apprentice Instrument Technician i trained and worked my way up to the position of serior technician. I was responsible for carrying out instrument installation, calibration, loop checking, commissioning and fault finding on various pharmaceutical, chemical, cement and food plants around Ireland.
