A scholar, poet, and professor, Shams Inati has made numerous contributions to the study of Islamic philosophy and theology over the course of her career. A frequent guest lecturer at symposiums and university events, Shams Inati looks forward to the forthcoming publication of her latest book, Islamic Philosophy to the Seventeenth Century. She is currently working on a book titled Ibn Sina’s Physics and Metaphysics: Remarks and Admonitions. Shams Inati has also written a number of articles published in scholarly journals such as the Journal of Oriental Studies, Arab Studies Quarterly, the Journal of Islamic History, and the Digest of Middle East Studies, among others. Dr. Inati attained her PhD in Philosophy from the University at Buffalo, a flagship school of the State University of New York (SUNY).
