• Publications prepared for MERC Environmental (ww.mercenvironmental.com) a firm of private environmental consultants. This involved the compiling of information with others on Irish Aquaculture on behalf of BIM, Marine Institute and Údarás na Gaeltachta. These printed reports are called the “Status of Irish Aquaculture” for the years 2005, 2006 and 2007.
• Sample manager (European Surface Water Framework Directive) for Complete Laboratory Solutions (www.completelabsolutions.com). Establishing and managing a national surface water sampling team to sample rivers and lakes (2007 to December 2009). This role involved ensuring that all team members were risk aware, that they received all appropriate health and safety training and that clear sampling goals and sampling procedures were met (primarily the taking and delivery of over 3,000 samples per year).
• Lobster sea cage growth trials undertaken as part of an INTERREG III Programme - Aquareg Project (www.aquareg.com -Norway, Spain and Ireland) in cooperation with the Marine Institute. Restocking of Lobsters – A Regional Strategy for stock enhancement of clawed lobsters (Homarus gammarus)).
• Prepared and produced “An illustrated hatchery guide for the production of clawed lobster, using a green water technique”.

Over the last five years (2006 to present) I have been self employed and during this time I have undertaken a wide range of work relating to Aquaculture and water quality. In short, these jobs cover active positions as researcher, manager, consultant, lecturer and trainer. All of these positions have involved self motivation, teamwork and delivering on goals within specified time and budgetary constraints.
