Over the course of his career in law, PJ Blanchfield has remained dedicated to the principles of community service and charitable giving. As an assistant district attorney in Albany, New York, he played an active role in the Legal Lives Program, which teaches elementary school children about the consequences of their actions and encourages them to live crime-free lives. In addition to helping teachers design a character-based curriculum, PJ Blanchfield organized role-playing activities and accompanied students on field trips to the Albany County courthouse.

Aside from his work with the Legal Lives Program, PJ Blanchfield has supported the efforts of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) for many years. He currently owns a rescue dog, and he advocates strongly for the adoption of rescue dogs whenever possible.
