This guide will show you how to send email from an address other than your default Hotmail address.

Click here to see the same guide for Gmail

After you have purchased your own domain name with Worky, emails going to mail@yourdomain.com will be forwarded to your email address which you used to register with Worky. In order to be able to send emails from your mail@yourname.com email address, you have to set up your Hotmail account. To make Hotmail recognize your new email address, follow the steps below:

In the example below johnsmith@hotmail.com is the gmail address and mail@johnsmith.com will be the new address we want to send email from.

  1. Login to Hotmail
  2. Select hotmail options (http://home.live.com/options)
  3. On the left hand side of the screen select the "Mail" Option

  4. Under the "Managing your account" sub heading, select "Sending/receiving email from other accounts"

  5. At the bottom of this page, click the link titled "Add another account to send mail from"

  6. Enter your new email address, in this example it is mail@johnsmith.com and click on send verification email

  7. Go back to your inbox and you should soon get an email from hotmail which contains a link to verify you own this email address, you need to click on this.

  8. Now when you select a new email, in the from address you can select the email you want to send the email from
