This guide will show you how to send email from an address other than your default Gmail address.

Click here to see the same guide for Hotmail

After you have purchased your own domain name with Worky, emails going to mail@yourdomain.com will be forwarded to your email address which you used to register with Worky.

In order to be able to send emails from your mail@yourname.com email address, you have to set up your Gmail account.

To make Gmail recognize your new email address, follow the steps below:

In the example below johnsmith@gmail.com is the gmail address and mail@johnsmith.com will be the new address we want to send email from.

1) Sign in to your Gmail account and click Settings on the upper-right:

2) On the settings screen, choose the Accounts and Import tab:

3) Under Send mail as, click Send mail from another address

4) In the popup window, enter your name and your mail@johnsmith.com email adderss, then click Next Step:

5) On the next screen, make sure that the Send through Gmail option is selected, then click Next Step:

6) Click Send Verification and then click Close window:

Gmail will send a verification message to mail@johnsmith.com to confirm that you own it.

7) Go back to your Gmail Inbox and wait for Google's message. You should get it in a few minutes:

8) Open the email and click the long confirmation link in it:

9) On the next screen you'll see Google's confirmation message:

You can now send and receive emails with your mail@johnsmith.com email address, created with Worky.

From now, whenever you compose a message, you can select the From field of your message:
