About Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology

Based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology endeavors to provide its diverse student population with a career-focused education in a supportive learning community. The school’s curriculum is based on current industry standards, which the faculty uses to guide instruction and evaluation. Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology also offers students employment assistance and strategies for vocational growth in the aviation field. Every aspect of the experience at the college is designed to ensure that its graduates are prepared for a career in modern aviation.

Located at two Tulsa-area airports, the three campuses of Spartan College collectively comprise more than 247,000 square feet of classrooms, administrative space, and training facilities. The college’s Main Campus houses the school’s core electronics program, which mandates that students gain practical experience through its philosophy of 50 percent hands-on instruction. The Main Campus is also the focus for the general educational classes that students are required to take in order to complete an Associate degree program as well as the higher-level courses required to earn a Bachelor of Science.

Spartan College uses the Graduate Career Services building of its North Campus to recruit and interview prospective employers. The North Campus also holds specialty classrooms and contemporary aviation equipment for maintenance education and nondestructive testing. The Spartan Flight Campus is headquartered at the tower-controlled Richard L. Jones Airport, about 20 miles southwest of the Main Campus. The Flight Campus accommodates the college’s fleet of 43 aircraft, which range from Piper Seminoles to Cessna 152s, 172s, and 172 RGs, in addition to a full-motion Redbird Advance Aviation Training Device and a Frasca flight simulator.
