Delaware State Treasurer Chip Flowers is a financial expert, community leader and entrepreneur with a proven record of sound stewardship of Delaware’s finances. A longtime resident of Middletown, Delaware, Chip Flowers has been extensively involved in community affairs throughout his career. He has held leadership positions with various civic organizations, including serving as Chairman of the Multicultural Judges & Lawyers Section of the Delaware State Bar Association while he worked in the Wilmington law office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLC. Before beginning his career in law, Chip Flowers served at the A. Phillip Randolph Institute, a union group headquartered in Washington, D.C., as well as at the Congressional Joint Economic Committee and in the White House. In 2010, he was elected Delaware State Treasurer. In 2012, he has one of only three state treasurers to receive commendation from the White House for financial literacy efforts.
