Responsible for some of the quality control/maintenance of procedures for the
shot peening process. Mainly involved in activities aimed at developing the
company. Since July 2000, managing a new cell, involving the complete set up
of a surface finishing process (REM/isotropic finish), writing and setting up
quality controls and procedures. Involved in shot peening and superfinishing of
critical gearbox components for Hewland Engineering Ltd. which supplies Lola
(Gold Level Supplier Approval obtained following increased performance and
quality since my involvement.) and other racing transmissions/engines
manufacturers (Ricardo MTC, Mercedes-Ilmor, Formula 3 racing teams).
Quality and production control of a medical cell, shot peening hip implants.

9 week placement, which lead to the sponsorship of my BSc.’s final year at the
University of Brighton. During this placement responsibilities and projects
included designing and testing media flow control devices for the shot peening
process.

11 week final year placement for my first degree. The company, S.O.N.A.T.S.,
specialised in mechanical studies on materials; use of X-Ray diffraction and
particular technologies based on the electromagnetic properties of materials;
