A graduate of Osmania University in Hyderabad, India, with a Master’s in Applied Statistics, Praveen Andapally entered the business world in India with the intention of starting his own company and eventually taking it public. Initially, he taught students around India computer programming, and then he shifted towards coding scripts himself. He eventually moved to the United States in 1996 to continue pursuing his ultimate goal.

Praveen Andapally started out his American business career at PeopleSoft, Inc., a software vendor located in Pleasanton, California. Serving as a programmer for PeopleSoft, he provided code for the company's human resource management systems (HRMS), supply chain management (SCM), and customer relationship management (CRM) software. After two years at PeopleSoft, he decided to expand his business capabilities to sales, joining IT consulting firm Software Research Group, Inc. (SRG), in Iselin, New Jersey, in 1998. While working at SRG, Praveen Andapally increased company annual revenues by 800 percent, after which he very quickly rose through the ranks, eventually becoming Vice President of Marketing and Recruiting by 2002.

Since that time, Praveen Andapally achieved his goal of starting his own business, which became a leading IT consulting firm with offices in New Jersey and Andhra Pradesh, India. His firm’s clients include News Corporation, which needed help with project management. Currently, Praveen Andapally heads his second company, Vitel Global Communications, as Chief Executive Officer, managing all sales and operations.
