A graduate of The University of British Columbia, Peter Espig began his career in 1991 as the founder and President of Mandalay Japan, a design firm operating out of Kofu and Yokohama. During Mr. Espig’s tenure, Mandalay Japan won several design awards and was regularly featured in a number of Japan’s top-selling fashion magazines. He later enrolled at Columbia Business School, where he received a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration on Finance. Mr. Espig was selected to receive the Columbia University Chazen Society Fellowship based on his academic excellence and leadership qualities. He published his research on the downfall of Merrill Lynch Japan and the Long-Term Credit Bank in several case studies.
