Peter has managed teams of 50+ in Europe for IBM and grown two international start-ups to multi-million revenues as sales director. Running his own sales & marketing consultancy, 3R since 2004 has enabled hundreds of companies harness the skills of their people and articulate their vision, to achieve success. 2001 - 2002A US start-up specializing in manipulating meta-data to make data in large organizations available to access, which grew to a multi-million company, including an OEM deal with SAP. 9/11 did not help!!
IBM - EMEA Sales Manager, CRM Software
2000 - 2001Lead the Sales and Marketing teams across EMEA to increase dramatically IBM's market share in CRM Software. This role involved promoting IBM's own CRM software while creating partnerships with ISVs to add to IBM's offerings such as; Siebel, Lagan and others.
IBM - Partner Manager, City of London
1999 - 1999Created a team to grow IBM partnerships in the City of London, where IBM's market share was less than 1%. Signing 20 new companies, revenues grew 130% to $13million.
IBM - Year 2000 Manager, EMEA Financial Services
1998 - 1998With the changes required to IT systems because of the Year 2000 impending event, it became an opportunity to work with clients to help them gain more than pure 2000 readiness. Working with the client management teams and the consulting division across EMEA, Peter identified numerous ways to increase client value, helping to make the program a success.
IBM - SWAT Manager, Financial Services EMEA
1996 - 1997Following on from the Success in Ireland, Peter was asked to lead the drive for IBM personal software across EMEA within the financial services division. Growing revenues 13% required setting strategy and marketing plans as product manager to create compelling propositions for banking clients to invest in IBM software.
IBM Ireland - Personal Software Sales Manager
1993 - 1995Combined the roles of Product manager and Sales manager, growing revenues in the 2 year period by over 300%. the IBM personal software suite included OS/2, and all applications products that ran on PCs, which was core to IBM's client server strategy
IBM - National Marketing Unit
1990 - 1992This 3 year role involved running direct marketing campaigns, setting up an early CRM system and managing partners relationships for IBM's portfolio of products. From interacting with marketing agencies to running partner seminars the role was immensely rewarding and included highlights such as achieving a response rate in excess of 60% for a direct marketing campaign to the recruitment industry, when we sent them a CV inviting them to a seminar to showcase recruitment software.
