I have various skills in psychotherapy in different modalities, and am a good teacher and trainer, including many years of training and supervising other psychologists. I gave weekly individual psychotherapy to a number of patients at Gateway house, a suburban residential care facility specializing in the care of people suffering from chronic schizophrenia, bipolar mood disorder and other psychotic and psychiatric disorders. For the period 2002-2003, I was a full-time intern with a variety of duties including group facilitation, clinical and lifestyle management. Subsequent activities have included staff training, supervision and workshop presentation.

I trained student psychologists at masters level, training them for, and supervising, their community counselling work at a trauma treatment centre in Johannesburg, as well supervising play therapy with children. I supervised research projects at honours and masters level and taught a third year course in psychotherapeutic intervention, as well as an honours course in psychopathology.
