Profile Activity

As a Licensed Contractor with over 20 years experience in the commercial sector I progressed to Project Director, responsible for appointing Design Teams, working through the development of projects; tendering and managing the construction of major sites from infrastructure to high-end fit out. Starting with pre-construction, I chair meetings between client, design team and, if applicable, contractors, to assure build specification is correct for each scheme. During the construction process I am responsible for selecting contracts, preparing instructions, valuations and certificates, all in keeping with funding requirements and in close consultation with finance directors and quantity surveyors, ultimately establishing the final account. Health & Safety cannot be compromised in any regime, and I am ultimately responsible that a strong ethos, beginning with the careful analysis of design work, is maintained and coordinated between the client, designers and contractors to ensure all risks are minimised and controlled within strict guidelines.
