Milly Fruit Processors Limited - Internal Auditor

Milly Fruit Processors Limited was part of a family owned group (other companies involved in grain milling, tanning, and glass bottle manufacturing) engaged in the business of extracting pulp and juices from tropical fruits like mangoes, pineapples. It later ventured in making ready to drink fruit juices sold in glass bottles under the Picana brand. In 2001 it got the licence to bottle and sell the VIMTO carbonated soft drink.

Responsibilities
Supervising the preparation of financial records, management accounting reports, preparing financial statements and liasing with external auditors.

On a daily basis approving all bank payment vouchers and non-routine purchasing.

As a special exercise carried out an investigation into the group’s financial and cost accounting systems and reporting to Group Managing Director. Subsequently carried out a study on the insurance and other contracts of the group and compared the cost to those available in the market.
