Profile Activity

In a nutshell, I have about 20 years experience in new technologies, web design and digital learning; I have a proven ability to meet project deadlines, work independently, as well as being a great team player, and I always bring creativity, attitude (can-do and humour) and a broad range of technical skills to my work.

► Web Design - I've worked in web design since the start of the web in '94 (using html 1.0) and have designed, developed and managed projects for small to large scale multi-lingual websites. I am constantly learning new technologies to harness the new and make more clever and beautiful websites that always work best for the user

► eLearning Design – My first role as a BSc graduate (computer science) was in eLearning development as a C programmer and designer. More recently, in the past five years, I have worked with the National Digital Learning Repository (NDLR) service, supporting academics in Ireland in the design and development of digital learning content and eLearning for blended and learning support materials.

► Graphic Design – Many freelance jobs I do are in graphic design and print (logos, posters, book covers and layouts etc) and I also apply graphic skills in all my web and digital learning projects.

► Training – Another role I held with the NDLR service for the past 3 years was National Training Coordinator with responsibility for meeting the needs of academics developing digital learning resources. Along with coordinating activities I delivered training throughout the country in tools and techniques for developing eLearning objects and resources including Articulate Studio, Powerpoint and Design for eLearning.
