Maya Adam

Maya Adam MD currently serves as a lecturer in the Human Biology Program at Stanford University, where she teaches courses on child health and nutrition. Dr. Adam has become increasingly involved in online learning at Stanford. She recently spoke at a panel discussing this topic at the Stanford Graduate School of Education. Two of her current Stanford courses incorporate online content in a "blended classroom" model. Critical Issues in Child Health, for example, includes online physiology videos to aid in the understanding of common child health challenges. Additionally, Dr. Maya Adam recently launched a massive open online course (MOOC) called Child Nutrition and Cooking, aimed at preventing childhood obesity by promoting a celebratory return to simple home-cooking. Her video lectures have been featured on the Khan Academy and her instructional cooking videos on Grokker.com.
