Graduating cum laude ampla et magna from The University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Government, Mary Schultz soon enrolled at the Gonzaga University School of Law, where she began to demonstrate her interest in and commitment to advocacy and trial law. As a member of the Moot Court at Gonzaga, Mary Schultz helped her team place second at the regional and sixth at the Washington D.C. national tournaments of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.

Mary Schultz diversified her educational experiences at Gonzaga through an internship in the City of Spokane Prosecutor’s Office and a study abroad program in Thessaloniki, Greece, with Tulane University Law School. Following receipt of her J.D. from Gonzaga in 1984, Mary Schultz gained admission to the Washington State Bar Association and secured a role as Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the Spokane County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Eager to commence her career in civil litigation, Mary Schultz left her position as Deputy Prosecuting Attorney after one year and founded Mary Schultz Law, P.S., where she works to this day.
