I am a law Graduate from NUI, Galway .Having recently completed my FE1 exams I am now looking for some admin or retail work. I am due to begin my traineeship with a leading corporate law firm in 2011.A career in law is well suited to me, because I enjoy working with people and forming practical solutions to any problems.I wish to work both independently but also I hope to work on a client service team.My achievements and skills demonstrate my aptitudes. My volunteer work with ALIVE and with the ‘Circles’ programme highlight my ability to manage people and delegate authority in an amicable fashion. In secondary school I received an award for full attendance. This award highlights my diligence and strong commitment to work hard. I speak French fluently having worked with Club Med a French holiday company for the summer season 2004. I have continued studying French in university. My position as class rep of my post graduate class and as senior prefect highlight my extensive leadership and communication skills. I have participated in two prestigious moot court competitions. My analytical mind and strong research skills were fundamental to my success in both cases. I was Voted Competition Officer on the NUIG swimming and waterpolo team emphasizing my teamwork and organisational skills. My willingness to learn extends to the sporting world. I am qualified as a pool lifeguard having completed the internationally acclaimed National Pool Lifeguard Award. My physical stamina and foresight skills help to keep me one step ahead at all times , this skill is vital in work centre transaction management. Lifeguards also require good communication skills in order to advise and reassure in demanding situations. I have worked and travelled abroad throughout my student career in London, America and Italy and Asia, and south america. Travelling has brought me out of my comfort zone and developed my independence and ability to make decisions in testing situations.

Being a member the volunteer society ‘ALIVE’, I tutored on a voluntary tuition programme for young underprivileged children in Bothermore, Co Galway. Volunteers assist students in a range of subjects, offer extra curricular options and assist with the homework club.
I also Volunteered in ‘Circles’ programme which involves facilitating the Club for two hours every week. This entails supervising group activities, and generally being a friendly and supportive adult presence. Volunteers are given the chance to work in a team by co-facilitating with another voluntary leader. Training is also provided, and volunteers are given the chance to broaden their communication, leadership, and organisational skills.

Diligent and Committed
Received a secondary school award for full attendance.
Nominated as Senior Prefect by my peers and teachers in secondary school, I fulfilled my duties to the highest standard.

I was a member of the NUIG Law society and have participated in their annual speed moot court competition. I am thus adept in arguing persuasively and am proficient in concluding and communicating analysis under time constraints. I was a finalist in the NUI Galway stage of the national Trinity moot court intervarsity competition. An analytical mind and strong research skills are of the essence in this competition.
I have completed numerous speech and drama exams, and was an extra in the movie Braveheart.

Managerial and Delegation Skills

As captain of my senior school swimming team I had to organise inter-school galas, training sessions, and motivate my squad.
I was competitions officer of the NUIG, swimming and water-polo team. My managerial and interpersonal skills were imperative for this role.
