Production sub-editor on The Meath Chronicle, a weekly regional broadsheet newspaper, and Inspire, its monthly lifestyle magazine, as well as production of various supplements, one-off publications, advertising and marketing material. Job involves liasing with contributors, photographers and advertisers in addition to copy-editing, photo-editing, layout, proof reading and preparation for print. Work closely with editorial team to meet deadlines; translate copy into web content; participated in recent redesign of CMG titles. Working with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) on a Windows platform.

The Voice Publishing Group - Production sub

Production sub-editor on series of nine regional tabloid newspapers in Ireland. Sole responsibility for Kildare Voice and two slip editions of this paper. In addition to copy/photo-editing and layout a main aspect of the job was to co-ordinate effectively with the editorial and advertising departments as well as assisting in the training of new staff members. Working with Quark and Adobe Photoshop on a Mac platfrom.
