• As a Web developer, I had to liaise closely with a customer or client at the design stage and finding answers to questions about why the site is needed, who the target audience will be and making recommendations. I used my personal development skills such as self-confidence and ambition to assure the client that a professional job would be carried out.
• In order to produce a professional design I had to be creative, use the latest technologies and software, in turn this made the website more attractive to the target users and the client. Testing the site for functionality and using logical thinking and initiative to fix errors was very important.
• As IT technical support officer/IT Consultant, I travelled to customer sites, monitored and maintained the computer systems and networks of an organisation such as Meadowfresh Foods in Co. Waterford.
• Provided support, documentation and replacing computer parts as required.
• Conducted testing and evaluating new technology.

AOL Carphone Warehouse Broadband Services, Waterford. - Technical Support Agent – Call Centre

Responsible for Technical Support to AOL UK Broadband Customers in the installation and configuration of Wired and Wireless Routers.

Achievements;
• Dealing with more than 50 inbound calls a day.
• 90% resolution rate on the first call.
• Used an internal CRM system called Merlin which allowed the agent to update Customers Broadband Price Plan, check connection status and troubleshoot every call to enable the user to connect to broadband.
• Logged every call from the customer.
