I have over 15 years experience with blue-chip corporations such as such as Dell, Airtricity, Trinity Biotech and Johnson & Johnson in a variety of Technical/IT Project Management and Strategy roles.
I specialise in delivering business, digital and social media marketing strategies for SME’s business, non-profits, educations institutes and start-ups.

I train businesses and their employees how to leverage social media and online social networks.

I completed my masters degree in business administration (MBA) in 2008 with the Kemmy business School, University of Limerick, and my thesis was titled “To what extent have Online Social Networks Changed Business to Consumer Marketing” (http://www.consultmark.ie/blog/2011/04/06/mba-thesis-to-what-extent-have-online-social-networks-changed-business-to-consumer-marketing/ ). My thesis looks at how online social networks and Web 2.0 have changed the marketing landscape and it proposes a model for an integrated offline and online marketing strategy.


I hold a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering and I have a passion for technology and how it can benefit business. I am fluent in both the language of Business and Technology.

I am a visiting lecturer with the Kemmy business school, University of Limerick (www.ul.ie/business/) in Entrepreneurship and Marketing with a focus on Social Networks and Social Media (Undergraduate and Postgraduate).

Create a strategy, and generate a project plan for the construction of the centre.
Create a marketing plan for the business.
Develop a business plan and business model for the centre after construction.
Financial planning and budgeting of the building of the centre.
Meet with Enterprise Board and north Tipperary county council and various other bodies to secure funding of over €500,000.
Assemble a panel of experts in the field of green building and architecture for the review of the building tenders.
Conceptualise the Green Enterprise Centre.

DePuy Orthopaedics - IT Project Manager

GHRT is a global project by Johnson & Johnson to standardise the HR and Payroll of all sites to SAP platform (ERP).
There are five sites in Ireland, I was project manager for the Depuy site, where there are almost 700 employees, ranging in function from Manufacturing, supply chain, HR, IT, and Finance.
I was hired in the execution phase of the project to recover control of an out of control project, which was behind schedule and over budget.
Plan Work Breakdown Structure as relevant to the Depuy site in Cork and communicate accordingly to senior management and finance and HR directors.
Manage 10 employees within the IT, Payroll, Finance and HR functions.
Manage the upgrade of the existing Legacy system ( www.corehr.com ) as a pre-requisite to data migration of all employees.
Manage the training of all Managers/Supervisor (90 employees) of the upgraded system within 3 days, without impacting the schedule/Cost in a negative manner.
Manage weekly calls for all Irish sites and the Legacy system provider.
Manage the data capture of all HR and finance data for both Bi-weekly and Monthly pay runs as per requirements, for data and system Testing and deliver to the future solution provider (www.convergys.com ) in a secure manner.
Attend calls with Testing Team and Future solution provider to ensure the resolution of all testing issues.
Communicate with the HR and Finance Directors in relation to project progress.

Define as-is process for the UK Sales Team, who has annual revenues in the millions (British sterling). Design future optimised process as based on the Salesforce.com solution for UK Sales Team.
Design of systems test inventory and test cases for Salesforce.com CRM solution as per “future optimised process”.
Liaise with Software vendor of Salesforce.com CRM solution, while ensuring business requirements are linked to solution.
Creation and management Test cases for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) which links to ordering systems of European manufacturing facility to all its major customers.

Dell - Senior Software Engineer for Test Engineering Department

Managed operational IT infrastructure for European Manufacturing Facility.
Worked within a team of 6 Engineers which designed developed, maintained, deployed and supported Test Engineering infrastructure within European Manufacturing Facility.
Project Managed 2 major projects per year across 4 functions.
Designed and implemented 4 continuous process improvement projects through Six Sigma which contributed to significant cost saving per annum (exceeding $200,000).
Irish Test Strategist on global team for EMEA region for all diagnostics, infrastructure, build, burn, capacity planning.
Designed, developed and implemented software tools for Test Engineering which provided team accountability, reduced Engineering hours by 30% and increased server utilisation by an average of 17 days.
