Start in Engineering - progressed from Junior PCB Designer to Senior PCB Designer leading teams (designed myself, not just manage), responsible for cost / schedule adherence. Included legacy, and using new technologies.

After being team lead working towards IiP (in less time than consultant planned). Invited to join HR, role included IiP Champion support to external groups, Young People - obtained IEE scheme accreditation. Degree in Management at Anglia Ruskin University. Links with local community - Job Fairs, Educational links (Work Experience, Teacher Shadowing etc), + Cambridge / Loughborough University (Systems Engineering).

Also aided evaluation and roll out of Computer Based Training across Division, included ongoing user support.

Looked after Young People - recruitment and management of Apprentices, & Graduates (inc Loughborough SEIC and Cambridge link). Organised and ran annual 3 day Women Into Science and Engineering (WISE) for Business - for up to sixty 14 year old girls per year, giving them insight in careerr opporunities within Science and Engineering.

Moved to Communications Manager within Customer Support Division, inluding our Training Colleges in Wales and OMAN. Role altered to branding across UK locations, Charity support - 12 UK locations. Budget control, guidance and support to diverse charity team. Link with local and national charity and community groups. Now ensuring Learning & Development covered across team, ensuring compliance with Corporate Governance, Business Continuity (involved in pilot development prior to roll out across whole UK business) etc

School Governor at a local special needs establishment for a number of years, chair Health, Safety & Premises Committee for a number of years in addition to being active member of others.

Involved with Union/Business discussions at a number of levels on a number of subjects (inc Redundancies, Pay and conditions, down sizing) for many years
