Definition of the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key supply chain functions which include route to market responsibility (Retail) and carrier management. Working as part of the Logistics team the individual will ensure Apple suppliers are clear on current and future supply chain requirements along with ensuring agreed service level agreements are met and improved.
Overview:
Person required will work within the Transprtation & Logistics Department and manage Intra EMEA Apple Retail fulfillment. This position requires a strong knowledge of transportation and logistics supply chain solutions specifically with Intra EMEA operations preferably within a retail environment.
Job Requirements:
• Manage Inta EMEA retail fullfillment
• Within the EMEA Logistics department influence and drive key carrier improvements
• Develop and help influence future changes to the Apple retail supply chain
• Understand the retail requirements of Apple retail and align the logistics solutions accordingly
• Be able to establish excellent internal customer relationships
• Work actively with suppliers on cost reduction programs.
• Maintain and monitor Retail logistics KPIs to agreed service levels.
• Review root cause analysis as retail issues occur with relevant carrier.
• Provide monthly Apple Retail logistics management reporting.
• Set up and manage weekly issues calls and monthly operational reviews with Apple Retail stakeholders.
• Daily review of handover issues from all International product sources.
• Execute TRAX exception report on a weekly basis.
• Approve all manual invoices as necessary.
• First point of escalation for all Apple Retail logistics related issues.
Skills & Competencies Required:
• Excellent communicator with all stakeholder groups.
• Problem solving techniques required / Six Sigma preferred.
• Customer focused
• Strong knowledge of road transportation and logistics concepts.
• Able to engage management of all levels both within Apple and Apple suppliers
• Ability to work well under pressure, multitask.
• Self starter that can work on their own initiative.
• Desire to stay informed of key retail supply chain trends
• Works well within a team and understands team dynamics.
• Ability to influence others within the organisation
• Flexibility - must be able to work as required to fulfill business needs.
• Ability to balance competing priorities
Qualifications & Experience Required:
• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• International CPC preferred but not essential.
• At least 5-years in an FMCG Logistics environment. Technological preferred.
• Previous experience of supplier/carrier management essential.
• Good understanding of all Microsoft Office packages.
