With many years of experience in library consulting, they provide extensive data services and unrivalled expertise in systems implementation and network services. An opportunity has now arisen for a Technical Support Engineer to join their team.

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will join a busy customer support team, responding to issues relating to PC based applications, WiFi networks, and general networking issues. Using your effective customer support skills and strong telephone manner, you will ensure the highest level of customer service is given.

In this key role, your focus will be on supporting existing systems, specialising in PC Booking software, Library Management Systems and WiFi implementations.

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for this position, you must have: Experience in a technical support role. Experience of working with Windows operating systems, both client and server, networking DNS and TCP/IP. A Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) qualification. A 3rd level degree. Although not essential, experience of SQL, MySQL or SQL Server, and/or any familiarity with public or academic library operations would be an advantage to your application.
