Embedded software Design Engineer
Our client designs and develops advanced security, access control, building management and video systems for world markets. The continuing strong investment in R&D has created a multi-skilled development group with an excellent track record in new product development. Customer demands are requiring the seamless integration of their products & technologies into their corporate networks and IT platforms.

Our client are urgently seeking an Embedded Design Engineer to add to their highly motivated team in the development of their range of next generation products with the following skills:
• Degree in Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
• Up to 3 years post graduate experience in embedded design including:
o Microprocessor research and design
o 32-bit microprocessor or ARM design experience in the area of telecommunication and control systems
o Experience with DSP development for video and audio systems
o Knowledge of international standards and regulations in the electronic industry. (ISO / CE / FCC)
• Strong embedded firmware skills in Assembler, C, C++, Java.
o Expert skills in “C” firmware development.
o Skills in Internet technologies, in particular TCP/IP and Web design.
o Control system design
o Experience with communication protocols.
o RTOS experience
• Experience with JTAG debugging.

Good knowledge of the following technologies an advantage
• Networking - In the area of TCP/IP development at the protocol level.
• Telecommunications – PSTN, GSM,GPRS, CDMA, 3G
• Digital Audio / Video compression and communication technologies. MPEG at protocol level.
• High speed data communication and experience with communication protocols, TCP/IP, RS232, RS485 etc.
The following skills are desirable:
• Knowledge of Security, Access Control, Video or Building automation.
