Senior Product Manager - Insurance Industry

Senior Product Manager:



My client, a global provider of software solutions for major insurance organisations, is looking for a Senior Product Manager.



Background:



The Product Manager will be responsible for executing product strategy through addressing target markets, product innovation, the product roadmap and synergistic product partnerships. Reporting to the Head of Product Management, the Product Manager will focus on the translation of market requirements into product feature functionality. This primarily involves researching and analysing market requirements and outlining solution proposals based on existing or proposed product features. The successful candidate will become an expert on one or more areas of the product suite: current features, roadmap features and solution patterns.



The Role:



• On occasion, elicit requirements in conjunction with the Product Marketing team.

• Requirements analysis.

• Outline solution proposals based where possible on existing product features and existing configuration options.

• Where new product features are required, generate solution proposals for discussion/validation with the Product Architecture team.

• Work closely with the prototyping team to develop visualisations of road mapped functionality.

• Maintain expert knowledge of assigned areas of the product.

• Communicate as required updates on new or proposed product features.

• Support initiatives to integrate third party products to the clients Claims.

• From time to time, work with implementation project teams to harvest product features.



Requirements:



• 5+ years experience of working within the insurance industry.

• 5+ years experience of requirements/systems analysis, business consulting.

• Direct experience of Product Management in a software context.

• Willingness to travel.
