Lead a team of Design Engineers, in a dynamic time to market environment, to develop a portfolio of compelling innovative products.

Collaborating closely with worldwide teams, drive product development from definition, through design & qualification, to robust mass-production in the Far East.

Inspired by customer needs, develop technology portfolio, and lead disruptive innovation program to sustain product evolution.

Motivate, coach and develop a dynamic team to maintain a best in class design centre.



Job Description

Lead, motivate & develop best in class Mechanical Engineering team in a dynamic environment, delivering high value portfolio of products.

Drive robust product quality through, process, reviews, qualification and controls

Lead development of products within scope of cost schedule and user experience

Lead a disruptive innovation and technology programme to enable product evolution

Provide strong leadership in product definition in line with company strategy, leveraging deep understanding in consumer electronic trends and user needs

Actively drive Industrial Design firms in the development of compelling product ID

Partner with Product marketing and project management, to lead product ���fuzzy front end���, delivering innovation and strong value proposition.

Partner and collaborate with other functions worldwide to achieve seamless product development

Ensure robust qualification and launch of products in the Far East



Skills

Degree or equivalent in Engineering or Science, 10 years engineering experience with 5 years management experience

Broad knowledge of mechanical engineering, product development, innovation and technology management process, in high volume consumer electronic products

Detailed knowledge of plastics, metal, injection moulding & tooling

Fluent in driving Industrial design firms, with a strong focus on User Experience

Fluent in Pro/E

Availability to travel (US, Europe, Far East)
