Senior Finance Manager

Background:

The Finance team in Cork manages all accounting activities for Apples extensive business in Europe. This growing team, which numbers approximately 100 Finance professionals supports more than 40 legal entities in 20 countries across the region. The team forms part of a dynamic global organization, aligned by process tracks which are managed locally, but with a strong alignment to global process ownership.
We are expanding the suite of services provided to our business partners and are adding capacity at each of our three shared service locations. As part of this expansion, we are seeking to recruit a senior Finance leader to manage our ‘Order to Cash’ organisation in Europe.

The successful candidate will assume a key leadership role in the European Finance team, and be an important part of the global Financial Services organization. This role has the potential to develop further with additional responsibilities in line with organisational and business expansion.

The person will be responsible for managing a large team focused on –
- Revenue Accounting
- Billing adjustments
- Cash collections
- Cash applications


Key Responsibilities:

• Support the O2C Global Process Owner in driving consistent best in class processes and systems globally.
• Recruit, train & manage staff, providing support and opportunities for development.
• Ensure key operational metrics and SLAs are achieved on an ongoing basis.
• Partner with key operations groups (Order Management, Logistics and Credit) in delivering best in class business support.
• Implement a strategy for collections at a European Level, with automation (through Direct Debit etc) a key enabler.
• Maintain highest standard of Fiscal controls and compliance, with functional ownership for pan European SOX compliance.
• Provide excellent customer service to both external and internal customers.


Requirements:

• Finance professional with at least 5 years experience in a senior management role
• Excellent communication, organizational & interpersonal skills
• Qualified Accountant with strong business partnering focus
• Self Starter who is motivated, flexible and capable of working on own initiative
• Experience in Credit management and Collections a distinct advantage
• High level Technical expertise, particularly in Revenue Accounting
