Cafe Sol is a 45 seat restaurant in the centre of Kilkenny City which was started by 2 Ballymaloe graduates in the early 1990s. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner every day. The ethos is quality, fresh local food at value for money prices.

This position requires a professional and talented chef with a natural flair and passion for excellent food quality. In addition to exceptional organisational and personal skills, you must have the ability to work in a team and to contribute to continuously improving our food offering.

* You are a qualified professional chef with 3+ years post qualification experience in a busy restaurant environment
* You will work alongside the Head Chef & take control in their absence.
* You will be expected to bring your own suggestions to the kitchen, as we are looking for somebody with new & imaginative ideas
* You will assist with developing new menus based on food trends, regional tastes and customer requests.
* You must ensure awareness and compliance with all Health & Safety work practices and HACCP.
* You must be professional, courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of customer service.
* You must have fluent english.
* You must be legally entitled to work in Ireland.
