Summary: Overall management of the Quality function. Aim to ensure the highest quality of product, plant and systems in order to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Description:
Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:
To ensure that products are manufactured to meet the food safety and quality standards required both by law and the customer.
Management of Site Quality.
Forming and building relationships with customers, the production department, Departments of Agriculture and other teams on site.
Problem solving and team management.
Allocating tasks and setting objectives for the team to ensure delivery of quality metrics in a timely manner
Acting as a key contact with customers and auditors. Responsible for putting corrective actions in place and ensuring ongoing compliance with customer specifications and Codes of Practice.
Assessing complaints and analysis and instigating a thorough investigation process in order to resolve customer complaints.
Ensuring delivery of all site technical objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Food Science & Technology, Microbiology or a related discipline.
Experience of leading audits with major customers
Experience working within a Food Manufacturing Environment.
Industry knowledge of the requirements for British Retail Consortium accreditation
Extensive Quality System experience
Lead Auditor experience would be an advantage.
Experience in Environmental systems and management a distinct advantage.
Written and spoken English fluency.
