PROJECT ADMINSTRATOR
About the position:
The Project Administrator will be responsible for the management, organizational development, and achievement of objectives of the South East Galway Reaching Out Diaspora Pilot Project, and the overseeing of the day-to-day running of the organization at the administrative, technical and financial level.
This post reports to the Chairperson of the SEGDP Committee.
Key areas of work
Project Management:
o Achieving overall objectives of the project as set by the Committee
o Administration of all legal, grant & administrative matters
o Recruiting and managing current and future staff
Finance:
o Day-to-day finance supervision
o Producing management budgets
o Coordinating project audits & reports
Marketing:
o Coordinating the development of professional marketing collateral to assist the project organisation and execution
o Coordinating the Week of Welcomes project
o Liaison with State, local and international marketing partners
o Coordinating team to ensure timely delivery of project and reports
o Coordinating local parish-based projects with local heritage teams.
Technical:
o Coordinate technical development team with respect to user feedback and optimal system design.
o Develop and execute training programmes for system users through various project stage
This position will be for an initial six month contract and will be based in Loughrea, Co Galway. The position will offer a competitive salary.
Person Specification
The successful candidate must have the following skills and experience:
o Senior project management experience with a proven record in successful project delivery.
o Dynamic self-motivated personality
o Strong interest and knowledge of Irish heritage development.
o Excellent and proven administration skills including finance, grant administration and legal management.
o Excellent communication skills
o Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and solve problems.
o Be technically proficient with a demonstrated interest in new technologies
o Enjoy working collaboratively and within a dynamic and (geographically) dispersed team
o Some international experience is preferred, particularly within countries where the Irish Diaspora is strong.
