Production Supervisor - Manufacturing

DESCRIPTION

As a Production Supervisor, you ll be responsible for supervising the production teams, ensuring quality, service and cost targets are achieved. You will provide leadership and direction for the advancement of Lean manufacturing through the implementation of short and long term cost reduction and improvement initiatives.

You will also be responsible for production planning, including scheduling customer orders to maximise output and efficiencies.

Your duties will also include: Maintaining GMP and housekeeping at a high level within all departments. Developing a training program, ensuring the smooth operation of all departments. Liaising with warehousing, QA and other departments to ensure prompt shipment of products. Managing process and material flows, space management and KanBan stocks. Establishing and supporting a work environment of continuous improvement.

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have: Experience as a production supervisor within a manufacturing environment, including a strong understanding of Lean principles. Demonstrable experience of managing a team within a production environment. A degree in a relevant engineering discipline, such as production manufacturing. You will be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal. A strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, is also key.
