Description:

Our client, an innovative and versatile medical device company, requires a Process/Product Engineer to join their team in Roscommon.

Key Responsibilities include:

* Lead projects to deliver on product developments and process improvements as identified by business needs, which improve quality and efficiency and reduce costs.
* Carry out competitor product evaluations.
* Use technical process knowledge to help directly resolve and identify expertise required to resolve process and product challenges.
* Be responsible for the relationship with key customers and ensure the site is strongly represented in relevant Co-Development Teams for new products, processes & technology.
* Manage the design, implementation and validation of Capital Projects using effective Project Management tools and techniques.
* Ensure constant and effective communications throughout the site and company colleagues.
* Liaise with sales and customers on product and process development matters including costing analysis, feasibility studies, project time lines and technical capability.
* Co-ordinate product/technology and process validations with manufacturing and quality personnel.

The ideal candidate will:

* Have an Engineering degree with a minimum of 3 years experience in a medical device or other related environment.
* Be able to give technical guidance to Associate Engineers and technicians where required.
* Be an influential team member, fully motivated to achieve and demonstrate best practices in line with the department and site objectives.
