My Dublin based client has a vacancy for a Planner / Supplier Scheduling Executive:
Overall Objective:
Plan, direct and manage the supply of printed components to support Manufacturing Schedules maximising operational and stockholding efficiency in line with Purchasing agreements with Approved Suppliers.
Qualifications/
Experience:
A third level qualification is required. An appropriate qualification in MRPII/APICS is desirable. Experience working in a high volume, preferably Pharma, environment to deadlines is necessary.
The person must have:-
- a good understanding of modern supply chain models
- a good knowledge of ERP Systems and Advanced Planning Tools.
- effective analytical and problem solving abilities.
- strong organisational, planning and time management skills.
- ability to formulate and maintain effective and positive business relationships with key suppliers.
- proficiency in the use of spreadsheet, word processing and database software, internet and e-mail.
Key Tasks:
1. Creation of a viable production plan for the Business Unit. Communicate and agree the plan with the Business Units, Purchasing, QC and Distribution as necessary.
2. Draft outline plans to balance the loading and highlight issues and propose solutions
3. Review and firm plan materials required for support of the master production schedule
4. Responsible for Customer Order promising and communicating changes in availability dates in a professional and timely manner.
5. Assist in the identification and development of opportunities to contribute to company goals and objectives
6. Create and maintain Supplier Forecasts, Schedules and published calendars of component campaigns which directly support Production Schedules
7. Maintain and adjust BPCS parameters for component ordering specifically Lead-time, Lot Size and Minimum Balance to ensure the most efficient process is being used.
8. Identify ways to enhance the Planning Process
9. Monitor Supplier performance to report to Purchasing, maintain records of delivery/volume history of components and perform data analysis
10. Liaise closely with and provide support to the Purchasing Department in various efficiency and process improvement projects.
11. Manage and partake in projects and assignments for continuous improvement, LEAN manufacture and new product introductions as directed by the Logistics Manager.
