Planner - Contract

My Cork based client has a 12 month contract role for a Planner:





Position Summary

Develop sales projections and determine manufacturing plans for established business. The Planner will play a pivotal role in new product introductions (NPI), in particular, when launching new products to the market.

Development and maintenance of the supply chain, through planning models, for the Operations business unit will be a key expectation of the role.

Liaise with internal manufacturing and Customer Service Reps to ensure timely product availability whilst minimizing supply chain inventories at source and at distributor locations.

Proactively manage supply chain activities that impact upon continuity of supply.



Key Areas of Responsibility

Responsible for projecting production for all business units. Monitor the projection accuracy and service level for the business and make appropriate amendments to the planning models based on customer expectations.

Maintain PRMS in good order by operating the system effectively.

Participate in NPI and product launches by partaking in meetings, offering constructive advice and collaborating with the Operations, Marketing and Customer to ensure a successful product launch.

Follow-up on assigned CAPAs to ensure timely corrective and preventative actions are put in place.

Produce production plans and work with Operations on headcount and capacity analysis, which allow the business unit hit absorption levels.

Develop capacity plans for the business unit, which includes equipment and headcount.



Qualifications Knowledge Skills

3rd level qualification in Business, Materials Management, Supply Chain Management/Logistics or other equivalent is required.

The individual should preferably have 3-5 years experience in an MRP environment and have appropriate and related PC system skills.
