Physical Disabilities Care Development Adviser North East

An experienced candidate with a social care background (eg Social Worker, Occupational Therapist) and experience of working with the health/community care sector is required in the North East for an organisation for adults with physical disabilities and terminal illness. Experience of working with volunteers, promoting awareness and managing educational opportunities for service users would be very desirable. You will be promoting and securing the highest standard of care for people living with terminal illness and their carers, by raising awareness of their needs amongst social care professionals and influencing statutory services. You will be ensuring that front-line support for service users is effective, and you will apply your knowledge to advocate. You will have a key role in co-ordinating and delivering the organisation’s influencing strategy in the region. A driver is required, as you will travelling across the North East. This organisation is looking for someone with the ability to self-manage and work independently, good influencing and negotiation skills and excellent communication skills.
