Summary: Contract Manufacturer Commodity Manager Limerick based.
Description:
Working collaboratively with suppliers that are vital to the success of our organisation to maximise the potential value of these relationships you will have overall responsibility for the end to end management of our (CMÕs) contract manufacturers.
Responsibilities
Challenges will vary in scale from leadership of a cross functional team to deliver a specific result or to an individual leader of strategy or contract negotiations.
Position will be responsible for facilitating and aligning demand with product supply to achieve company goals.
Ensuring supply chain participation in new product development activities with the external parties.
Management and execution of contractual agreements currently in place.
Develop and ensure that sourcing strategies are fully implemented and executed.
Manage products being transferred in and out of the various manufacturing sites.
Scheduling, management & monitoring of production to meet Customer requirements ensuring a min of 98% Customer service level while maintaining inventory at agreed levels.
Proactively identify, report & manage constraints within the end-to-end Supply Chain which will impact on Customer Service levels.
Inventory Management Ð Understand and maintain the minimum necessary inventory and report when required on the status of inventory levels for assigned portfolio against inventory targets. Understand, identify and challenge safety stock levels, manufacturing lead-times, etc as part of inventory management.
Generate and present daily / weekly / monthly reports and metrics as appropriate.
Represent the ÒVoice of the CMÕsÓ within the Organisation.
Participate in NPI and product launches by partaking in meetings, offering constructive advice and collaborating with the Operations, Marketing and Customer teams to ensure a successful product launch.
Develop and Implement a formal automated CM rating system to drive improvements in CM service.
Work on challenging assignments with clearly defined business objectives, solving problems and supporting the needs of Operations and other functions.

Qualifications
Expertise in outsourced manufacturing and managing manufacturing and supplier agreements.
FAMILIAR WITH CGMP COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS, best practices , Purchasing Controls in an FDA regulated medical device industry.
3rd level qualification in Business, Materials Management, Supply Chain Management/Logistics, IPICS or other equivalent is required.
Proven track record with at least 8 years in supply chain management at a senior level.
Strategic thinker : ability to see the big picture and translate this into operational objectives.
Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
Customer focused.
Works with a sense of urgency and attention to detail at all times.
The ability to work on your own or as part of a team.
Demonstrate Initiative.
