Logistics and Planning Manager- Dundalk
We are currently recruiting for a Logistics & Planning Manager for our client based in Dundalk.
This is a “hands on” role and you will be responsible for implementing the Company's plans with regard to Logistics, planning and inventory management. You will be expected to work to agreed individual objectives and regularly review performance and development needs.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and management of logistics, planning and inventory management personnel
Capacity and Master planning - Order intake - Capacity calculation for materials, machinery and people together with material planers and production and Order confirmation
Material Planning and call-off - Material planning and buying based on master plan and purchase agreements made by sourcing - Supplies materials - Supplier management together with sourcing, quality and supplier quality from existing and new suppliers - Ensures optimal inventory level and on time delivery
Warehouse Management - Safe and effective parts and component storage system - Receiving and booking into MRP systems - Material handling and kitting, replenishment of production based on production plan - Inventory control together with finance
Shipping and outbound logistics of finished goods to customers
Customs clearance
Monitor and improve agreed key performance indicators (KPIs)
Requirements:
University level education or equivalent in logistics, material planning
8 years experience in operations, plus 3 to 5 years in logistics managerial/senior position
Work experience in international, multinational environment with manufacturing profile
Knowledge and experience in world class level supply chain management methods and tools (lean, 5S, Kanban, JIT, consignment stock, etc.)
Experience and detailed knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
Strategic in thinking, with attention to detail
Service minded, customer focused and team player with strong leadership skills, problem solver, a can do approach.
