Informational Developer/Technical Writer is required for a leading multi national organisation based in their Cork lab. The role is full time and permanent
Our Clients is a major multi national blue chip organisation within the IT Sector, their European Head Quarters based in West Dublin with there further satellite offices based throughout the country. They are currently looking to expand their European operation by adding a Developer/Technical writer to there Cork city lab.
The ideal applicant needs to possess the following skills:Be proficient in English and in creating clear, task-oriented technical information that meets audience needs.
· Candidate must have experience in designing information, conducting interviews with subject matter experts, and evaluating information.
· Be an expert with mark-up languages such DITA, HTML and XML are required as well as skills in creating topic-based information.
· Have expertise needed with one or more content authoring tools including Epic Editor, Framemaker or other tag-based authoring tools
· The candidate must have strong technical skills and must be able to install and configure products on Windows and one or more Unix/Linux platforms.
· Be expert with z/OS platform as well as experience with programming languages, relational databases and systems management software is a plus.
· Must have a strong sense of initiative, be a self-starter, and have strong project management skills.
· The ability to work well with local and remote teams including other writers, developers, testers, and support engineers is also needed.
We are looking to hear from candidates with a Bachelors or Masters degree in Technical Communications, Technical Writing with course work in Computer Science. You will ideally have 2 years experience in a similar position.
