Description:
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading manufacturing multinational in the Limerick area as a HR Manager on a contract covering maternity. If you are available at short notice have strong unionised and manufacturing experience then I would like to speak to you in confidence. The successful candidate will work closely with the HR Director and Leadership team to plan an integrated Human Resource strategy for the growth and performance of the Company Plant operation.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Work with business unit leaders and managers to develop organisational structures and plans and the human resources programmes necessary to implement business and management objectives.
Assist the HR Director in agreeing and implementing industrial relations policy and negotiate collective bargaining agreements with third party representation.
Coordinate grievance procedures with leaders, third party representatives and where required, assist in effective dispute resolution.
Work with business unit leaders and managers to make company a great place to work and promote a positive employee relations culture.
Manage and engage a HR Team to help deliver exceptional operational service through the implementation of best practice HR processes. These process areas will include recruitment, performance management, training and development, reward management, payroll and manpower planning.
Ensure HR policies and practices are in compliance with company guidelines, Irish statute and EEU regulatory obligations.
Lead and participate in cross functional and cross divisional process improvement initiatives.
All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Knowledge Skills:
Educational background will include a degree or equivalent in human resources management, industrial relations, organisational development or business administration or related.
An established human resources professional, preferably with 5 years of progressive HR Management experience in a high-technology manufacturing environment is required. Preference will be given to medical device, pharmaceutical or other FDA regulated experience.
Industrial Relations experience in a manufacturing environment is essential. A proven track record of excellent negotiation skills is required.
HR Generalist background with exposure to business issues and successful implementation of complex programmes is essential. Must be comfortable with developing and implementing unconventional ideas and strategies and must be able to think outside the box.
A sound understanding of contemporary human resources trends, strong networking and resourcing capabilities and the ability to benchmark is required.
Self-assurance, flexibility and confident problem solving ability is essential. Integrity, initiative, strong written skills coupled with a dedicated client service orientation will be required for success in this position.
