Hotel General Manager

DESCRIPTION

Our client, a successful hotel group, currently have a vacancy for a General Manager for one of their hotels which is based in the Waterford area. Full responsibility for all aspects of the management of a successful hotel. A summary of some of these responsibilities is as follows: To achieve sales targets as agreed with the Board of Directors. To achieve profit margins as agreed with the Board of Directors. To control hotel overheads as per agreed Annual Budget. To ensure that the Management Team within the hotel are aware and adhering to targets and objectives on Sales, Gross Profit, Wastage etc. To ensure that the Management Team are trained appropriately and to the highest standard. To control Stocktaking procedures. To oversee purchasing in conjunction with agreed policy with Head Chef (food), Stores Manager (general goods), Bar Manager (drink).

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will have a track record which demonstrates; An ability to develop, motivate, lead and command the respect of a quality team around themselves; Previous experience in a General Management position. Decisiveness and confidence in their decision making; Experience and an ability to carry their responsibilities lightly; A good work ethic; A belief that customer first attitude towards service will deliver above average profitability.
