Director of Business Development

The Director of Business Development is responsible for identifying new business opportunities for the company and for negotiating new contracts and maintaining a profile in the web development sector. The tasks/responsibilities for this position include:

• Analyse market trends and identify key business opportunities
• Keep abreast of all activities in the web sector in Ireland and abroad
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all web technologies
• Expand the company's product reach and profit revenues
• Follow up on all existing and new business enquiries
• Write proposals for new projects after consulting and analysing client requirements
• Work closely with the Managing Director to identify a clear business path and to agree new business targets each quarter
• Follow up on all outstanding proposals and engage in one-to-one client communication on a regular basis
• Identify new business opportunities in related services
• Network with other small business people especially industries that require web services
• Attend workshops, trade shows, and seminars to keep up-to-date on changes in the industry

The person we are looking for will have:
• Minimum 3 years in a Senior Business Development Position
• An in-depth knowledge of web design and development technologies
• Excellent communication skills - both writing and speaking
• Be highly organised and self motivated
• Embrace targets and aim for over delivery
• Be highly personable and enjoy networking within the industry
• A primary degree
