Category Development Manager - Ireland
A multinational FMCG organisation is currently seeking a Category Development Manager due to internal promotion. This company has a portfolio of leading brands and have an excellent company culture. They offer generous basic salary, bonus 10-15%, vhi, pension (company contribute 10%).
Reporting to: Sales Director
Job Purpose
Lead the Category development team to work with the Sales and Marketing teams to drive sales and profit achievement versus company strategy and targets via category management tools.
Principal Accountabilities
Support account teams in developing strategic business reviews (category management focus) for relevant accounts
Work with relevant NAM's to instigate and implement key category management reviews particularly with the grocery multiple channel. Build strong relationships with key contacts in accounts.
Develop alongside the Brand Teams compelling and cat-man focused NPD presentations to maximise the distribution points for our innovation in the trade
Support the relevant Category Teams to manage the 4P status, competitive threats, NPD and execution of brand initiatives , ensuring synergies and consistency across all categories
Manage and develop the Category Development Executive in the optimisation of their relevant categories.
Work with Category Development support clients - Nielsen, TNS, Spaceman for analysis and development of relevant category insights.
Be the customer knowledge expert for relevant categories
Be the Space Planning Super User for relevant categories

Background Requirements
Graduate with >3 years commercial experience
Excel, PowerPoint, Nitro (or equivalent) to Intermediate level; basic Spaceman (or equivalent)
Sales, Marketing or Market Research background preferred
