AS PART OF THE AMP4 FRAMEWORK CONTRACT WITH MORGAN EST ON BEHALF OF WELSH WATER – AMP4
Catchment management of Nash and Lower Wye regions in South East Wales. Both catchments have been maintained by way of Integrated Catchment Plan (ICP) reports which summarise the key stakeholders including contact details, responsibilities, hydraulic issues and environmental issues.
Project management / engineering of over 20 schemes including internal property flood alleviation and environment agency driven projects between Newport and Chepstow. All schemes have been progressed from scoping, optioneering through to detailed design. Responsible for progressing an Unsatisfactory Intermittent Discharge (UID) scheme from feasibility through to construction
Responsibilities:
Provide the principal point of contact with the client for the delivery of the project. Carry out day-to-day management of projects. Coordinate the services being provided by all parties, including other departments (Internally) and sub consultants. Setting up administration and finance systems required.
Duties:
• To deliver the services in accordance with the Project agreement and achieve the financial objectives set at the commencement of a project.
• Prepare a Project Execution Plan and Project Quality Plan and monitor delivery of our services to a client.
• Review deliverables against the resource schedule and programme to establish performance against spend and programme to enable accurate cost to complete to be maintained.
• Review and sign off the monthly Project Summary Reports in conjunction with the Project Director and explain and propose appropriate action in relation to any negative variances.
• Maintain agreed cash flow objectives by billing in accordance with the agreement.
Network Contracting Services - Assistant Engineer
Undertake a site agent / project management role as part of the N.C.S. contracting team. The service includes small scale reactive patching and repairs, footway refurbishment, highway resurfacing, highway construction and schemes up to a value of £500,000. The position involves delivering business profitability requiring commercial awareness to ensure that all works are undertaken in an effective, efficient and economical manner through high quality works. This is achieved through efficient on site programming of works, supervision, measurement, submission of valuations, organisation, direction and motivation of workforce and the cost effective utilisation of materials and plant. To ensure client satisfaction at all stages of a project and therefore ensuring repeat business.
Principal Duties:
To implement works contracts as directed by the Network Contracting Manager, supervising resources employed on them including necessary liaison with statutory undertakers and appropriate health and safety / risk assessments. Assisting in the planning and control of the allocation/ and utilisation of labour, construction equipment and materials on schemes, therefore ensuring a timely completion and continued quality of work. Control of all matters in respect of live projects, procurement of sub contract packages through to final account in line with costs incurred. Undertaking contract measurements duties, compile site records commensurate with job monitoring / costing, financial recovery systems and certifications of valuations for payment accordingly
