Hubert works with a wide range of global organisations including Issuing and Acquiring Banks, Merchants, Payment Service providers, Payment processors and private equity companies on areas such as Payment platform Strategies, Company Due Dililgence, Platform Architecture, Selection and Deployment, Programme/Project Management, PCI DSS audit and assessment, Funds Transfer Solutions (including exposure to SEPA), Merchant acquiring solutions (selection, deployment and implementation), Issuer and Acquirer Migrations, Outsourcing and other areas pertaining to Payments.
Hubert O'Donoghue's Professional Experience
O-C Group's target customers are Acquirers, Issuers, Merchants, Processors, Payment Service Providers and other organisations for whom payments are a key component of their business. O-C Group provide Project/Programme Management Services, Advisory services around Payment Systems and Operational procedures, and services around the implementation of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCIDSS). As a Qualified Security Assessor, O-C Group are approved to perform Payment Card Industry audits for any organisation which stores, processes or transmits cardholder data.
Hubert O'Donoghue has been involved in the IT Transaction management sector since the late '80s. Most recently, following the sale of his remaining interest in OmniPay Ltd; a company which he co-founded in 2000; he moved on to establish O-C Group with Patrick Clarke
Hubert O'Donoghue held the position of Chief Technology Officer at OmniPay with overall responsibility for the technical direction of OmniPay's processing platform.
Under his leadership of the IT Organisation a transaction management platform was built which positioned the Company to offer global support for ecommerce transaction processing. The unique design of the platform soon gave the company a leadership position in the market attracting the Transaction Management giant First Data Corporation to acquire a majority interest in the company in 2002.
Prior to the establishment of OmniPay Hubert was a senior consultant to AIB's Credit Card Service division where he was involved in major IT change projects for the Card Issuing and Merchant Acquiring Businesses.
Hubert joined Trintech Technologies where as Operations Director he headed up the software development group. He went on to head up the Product Group which spear-headed the introduction of new e-commerce products for merchants and acquirers.
Hubert previously held the position of Director of International Services with PaySys International. In this role he led the development and implementation of large card management solutions for major banks and private label issuers throughout Europe and the Middle East.
