Oceanaire Adult Eating Disorder Program - Program Director

In this position, she supervises group, family, and individual psychotherapy sessions for the treatment of a variety of eating disorders, such as anorexia and bulimia. Dr. Abrishami also oversees the program’s staff and the development and implementation of treatment programs.

The Center for Discovery - Lead Therapist

Responsible for implementation of the clinical program consisting of individual, family and group psychotherapy in a residential setting for adolescents and young adults suffering from eating disorders including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and Eating Disorder NOS at the residential and partial hospitalization level of care. • Serve as primary therapist to develop, implement, and evaluate ongoing clinical treatment programs specific for each client in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team. • Maintain clinical charts including creating intake and discharge summaries, treatment plans. • Maintain ongoing communication with each client’s outpatient treatment team. • Serve as insurance utilization reviewer to obtain authorization for continued care from multiple carriers.
